Painter of Italian descent currently living in Landser, Walter Ciandrini creates portraits and imaginary silhouettes. He works with acrylic paint both with a knife and a brush.

His style is figurative, his influences diverse and his favorite theme is the human condition and state of being. His portraits seem to come from a somewhat childish phase of representation, while carrying within them the weight of the years, the greatness of soul of those who lived. Simplistic in their expressions, ageless, ghostly, they burst with color. Orange, red, sometimes darker, but always full of soft lights.

From the age of 15, Paxal attended evening classes at the École des Beaux-Arts in Mulhouse, which he joined full-time the following year.
