My reason for living
Many artists find inspiration in misery, rage or desperation and express their turmoil through their works.
I am lucky not to have been in such dramatic situations, and I try, through my art, to show that everything can change from one moment to the next, that there is nothing more important in life than happiness and certainly not the material goods.
Money can obviously contribute to happiness, but many people run only after money and right past happiness, as if blinded by what they possess, or would like to possess.
These artificial pleasures, fed by greed, narcissism or vanity, are deformed or destroy the notion of happiness.
Through my art, I strive to denounce this kind of behaviour with humour and cynicism.
Hedonism is my reason for living.

HELP US STAY ON COURSE
Ladies and Gentlemen, individuals and business leaders,
HELP US STAY ON COURSE
We are reaching out to you with an urgent appeal for your generosity to help us stay on track. Since our opening on 1 July 2023, our operational expenses have significantly exceeded our revenue.
Here's how you can support us:
Make a donation to the museum association.
You can also offer your customers or friends a tour of the museum with aperitif and snack.
Support our museum by purchasing artwork from one of our talented artists. In doing so, the association will receive a 30% commission.
My artist name is Dan Gerbo, and I am the founder and curator of this museum. Born in Mulhouse in 1955, I single-handedly financed this project without external assistance. Hailing from a humble background, I left school at 14 to pursue a career as a mechanic. At 29, I patented my first invention and established my own company in 2024, which has since thrived for over 40 years. Fuelled by a passion for art, I eventually found the time to dedicate myself to this pursuit at the age of 53. Transitioning from figurative painting to conceptual art, my work often communicates messages with a hint of humor and, above all, without attempting to preach.
In 2020, I acquired a former supermarket with the vision of establishing a museum of contemporary art. This institution showcases not only my own creations but also the works of numerous other artists whom we proudly support. Currently, our operational expenses outweigh our revenue, necessitating your financial assistance to sustain our mission. The museum association is actively seeking grants from the municipality and conurbations (M2A), while also relying on the generosity of individuals and businesses like yours. Your support means the world to us.
Thank you sincerely for considering our plea and for your invaluable support.
